Batavia has invested in a "reinvention" of its retail district on both sides of the Fox River and its downtown. On the East Side is River Street restaurants, the Batavia Boardwalk Shops and Farmers Market on River Street attract thousands of customers each week. On the West Side, a retailers both local and national coexist to offer shoppers and diners just about everything.
