In Spring 2014, the City Council began discussing whether to establish a Tax Increment Finance District (TIF) for the West Town Area, centered on Main Street and Mallory Avenue. An eligibility study was conducted for a proposed district 26 acres in size and comprised of 86 parcels, between Walnut and First Streets and Harrison Street and South Harrison Streets. The City of Batavia is currently taking steps toe establish this TIF District. This page contains information about the proposed TIF District and the supporting documents.
Joint Review Board Meeting
A meeting of the Joint Review Board was held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10: 30 AM. This meeting will be held in the Great Room (Second Floor Conference Room) at Batavia City Hall.
A Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 regarding the establishment of the proposed TIF District.
Next Meeting Date A review of the establishing Ordinances for TIF 4 is scheduled for the December 8, 2015 Committee of the Whole Meeting. City Council review is tentatively scheduled for January 4, 2016.
