Drainage

  1. Braeburn Marsh Drainage Improvements

    The City of Batavia is now in the 5-year maintenance and monitoring period of the Braeburn Marsh Drainage Improvement project. The project was completed in the fall of 2010 for the west side and 2011 for the east side. The monitoring is required by the US Army Corps of Engineers to make sure the area is fully restored after the improvements.

  2. Mahoney Creek Stream Restoration

    The purpose of this project is to restore and provide shore stabilization for Mahoney Creek.

  3. Nagel Detention Basin Conversion

    The City and the owners association plan to plant the basin with native plants to help reduce the quantity and of invasive species to the basin while giving it an aesthetically pleasing look.

  4. Normandy Subdivision Detention Basin Conversion

    The City of Batavia will be working with a Design Build contractor that will work with the City of Batavia to convert an existing dry detention basin in the Normandy Subdivision located at the northeast corner of Raddant Road and Edwards Drive to a naturalized basin.

  5. Windmill Lakes Detention Retrofit

    In 2005, the City approved working with the Conservation Foundation to improve the Windmill Lakes Detention Basin.

  6. Ward I

    The purpose of this project is to analyze the existing storm sewer system and improve the system that is tributary to the upstream box culverts south of Giese Road on Kirk Road.

    The purpose of this project is to start analyzing the combined sanitary and storm sewer system and start separating the storm sewer out.
