Public Hearing: Variance for a garage at 836 Garfield St

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 16th day of May, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia Illinois, the Batavia Zoning of Board Appeals will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapter 5.6 of the Batavia Zoning Code to consider an application for variances to the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10).  One variance is from Section 2.104 to allow a detached garage to be located 9 feet from the interior (north) side setback,  in front of the existing residence, rather than be located 6 feet behind the front plane of the building.  Variances would also be required from Section 2.106.A.2 to allow an accessory structure to be located in the front half of the lot rather than the rear half of the lot.  

The subject property is located at  836 Garfield Street, Batavia, IL (PIN 12-21-481-005).  The applicant and property owners are Andrew Browning and Susan Browning.  All interested persons, and in particular, adjacent property owners, are invited to attend said Hearing.  Questions can be directed to the City of Batavia Community Development Department at 630-454-2700.
