Public Hearing: Zoning Map Amendment 750 through 812 Main Street (South) from LI, Light Industrial to NC, Neighborhood Commercial

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the  1st day of August, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, at 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois, the Plan Commission of the City of Batavia will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapters 5.2 and 5.7 of the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10) to consider amending to the Official Zoning Map for properties located at 750-812 (even only) Main Street (PINs 12-22-301-001, 12-22-301-002, 12-22-301-003, 12-22-301-006, 12-22-301-007 and 12-22-301-009), along with the south half of the adjacent right-of-way of Main Street.  Said properties are further described as follows:  

That part of the Northwest ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 22, Township 39 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:  Beginning at the intersection of the West line of said Section 22 and the Centerline of Main Street, thence South along said West line to the former Northwesterly line of Burlington Northern Inc., (formerly the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad Company), thence Southwesterly along said Northwesterly line to the North line of Whipple Subdivision, recorded February 14, 1995 as Document 95K007927, thence Easterly along said North line to the Centerline of Burlington Northern, Inc. right-of-way, thence Northeasterly along said Centerline to the Centerline of Main Street, thence Westerly along said Main Street Centerline to the Point of Beginning, in the City of Batavia, Kane County Illinois.  

The City proposes to amend the Zoning Map for these properties and contiguous rights-of-way from their current zoning classification of LI Light Industrial to the classification of NC Neighborhood Commercial.  No development, redevelopment, or change in use for any of these properties is contemplated as part of the Zoning Map Amendment.

Information regarding the Zoning Map Amendment is available for review at the Community Development Department in the City of Batavia Municipal Building during normal business hours.  You may contact the Community Development Department at 630-454-2700 for additional information. 

All interested persons, and in particular, the owners of the subject properties and adjacent and adjoining property owners, are requested to attend said Hearing.
