NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 17th day of October, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, at 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois, the Plan Commission of the City of Batavia will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapter 5.7 of the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10) to consider Official Zoning Map Amendments for properties located at  1500 W. Wilson Street (PIN 12-21-157-001), the Stormwater Detention Area at 137 Feece Drive (PIN 12-21-156-022) and the Stormwater Detention area at 1227 Bradford Circle (PIN 12-16-453-005).  The City of Batavia, 100 N Island Av, Batavia, IL 60510 is the owner of all three properties and is the applicant for the requests.  

The applicant proposes to amend the Zoning Map designation for the properties from the R-1L, Single Family Residential – Low Density to POS, Parks and Open Space District.  All of these parcels are being used for open space and detention purposes.   No changes in use are contemplated as part of the Zoning Map Amendment.  

Information regarding the proposed amendments is available for review at the Community Development Department in the City of Batavia Municipal Building during normal business hours. You may also contact the Community Development Department at 630-454-2700. 

All interested persons, and in particular, adjacent and adjoining property owners, are requested to attend said Hearing.
