NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 12th day of December, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, at 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois, the Plan Commission of the City of Batavia will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapters 3.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.7, and 5.8 of the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10) to consider amending the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and the Official Zoning Map with a Planned Development Overlay District. At the same time, the Plan Commission will hold an open meeting to consider Design Review and preliminary plat of subdivision of property. All actions are for property proposed to be annexed to the City of Batavia located at 2500 McKee Street, Batavia, Illinois (PIN 12-17-400-006) and 37W330 McKee Street, Batavia, Illinois (12-17-400-005).

The applicant for all actions is MI Homes of Chicago, LLC. The applicant proposes to amend the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map for the subject properties from the current Residential >.5-2 Dwelling Units to the Acre and Residential >3.5-5 Dwelling Units to Residential >.5-2 Dwelling Units to the Acre, Residential >3.5-5 Dwelling Units the Acre, and Parks and Open Space and to amend the Zoning Map for the subject properties from R0 Single Family Residential (after annexation) to R1-M Single Family Residential, R3 Multi-Family Low Density, and POS Parks and Open Space with a Planned Development Overlay District. The Planned Development Overlay District, Design Review, and preliminary plat of subdivision propose a single family and multi-family residential development with park open space.
