SLOW DOWN Campaign

Slow Down Campaign 2

The “Slow Down” campaign is aimed at getting the attention of drivers to slow their speed when driving through our neighborhoods. You can pick up one of our newly designed signs at City Hall and participate.

Here are a few guidelines to help make the most of this campaign:

  1. The signs provided are meant to be posted for a limited duration. Studies show that people tend to notice things that are “new” and ignore them at some point as they become a familiar sight. Therefore, this campaign will run from Friday, June 5, 2020 thru Monday, September 7, 2020.
  2. Please post the signs on your property, not in your parkway. Signs in the parkway reduce driver visibility and that’s the last thing we would want with a campaign aimed at improving safety.
  3. You may keep your sign at the end of the campaign period, or you may return it to:

City of Batavia Police Department
100 N. Island Avenue

If you have any questions about the Slow Down campaign you may call (630)454-2000.

We would like to hear your feedback about the effectiveness of the campaign. Please let us know what you think:
