Advanced Disposal Refuse Collection

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, regular collection dates on Thursday or Friday will be pushed back one day.

Brush Collection

The final brush collection of the year will begin on Monday, November 30, for both sides of town.  Brush should be at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday.  For more information about the program, please click here or call 630-454-2400.

2015 Residential Leaf Collection Program
The completion of the last leaf collection for the east side of town was put on hold last Friday, November 20, so crews could prepare our trucks and equipment for the snow storm that occurred on Saturday.  There is a small area shown on our Leaf Collection Progress Map that has not yet been completed.  These streets are visible in orange if we haven’t started them or yellow if we have started but they are incomplete.  All areas shown in green have been completed.  The third and final leaf collection for the west side that was tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, November 23, was put on hold.  If temperatures rebound around Thanksgiving and melt the snow, we plan to make an effort  to work on leaf collection for the remaining east side streets and then go back to the west side during the week of November 30, but this is not guaranteed or definite.  Resuming the leaf collection will also depend upon whether or not there is additional winter precipitation.  As part of our program, yard waste bags containing leaves only will be collected by Advanced Disposal without stickers on your regularly scheduled refuse collection dates during the month of December; stickers for yard waste will still be required through November 30.  Please refer to the City’s website for details about alternate measures that can be used to dispose of your leaves.  We will also be posting an update on the website next Monday regarding the status of leaf collection.  Please contact the Street Division at 630-454-2400 with any questions.  City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Fox and the Turkey Races
