What is the future of bicycling in the Fox Valley?
Saturday, March 5, 2016
Eco Expo Opens:  6:00pm
Movie:  7:00pm
Batavia City Hall, Council Chambers, 100 North Island Avenue, Batavia
Free Admission
Join us in Batavia City Hall Council Chambers with your friends and family for Batavia’s 8th annual Green Night Out at the Movies! The Batavia Environmental Commission is thrilled to provide an evening of FREE entertainment: a green themed movie, free popcorn and drink (for those that bring a reusable cup and bowl), an expo featuring local eco groups and businesses and a lively discussion about the topic of the movie afterward.

Bikes vs Cars depicts a global crisis that we all deep down know we need to talk about: climate, earth's resources, cities where the entire surface is consumed by the car.  The bike is a great tool for change, but the powerful interests who gain from the private car invest billions each year on lobbying and advertising to protect their business. In the film we meet activists and thinkers who are fighting for better cities, who refuse to stop riding despite difficult riding conditions in their cities.
Members of the Batavia Bicycle Commission will be the featured speakers after the movie.  They will answer questions and talk about Bicycle Commission initiatives including the Bicycle Friendly City, Safe Routes to School and the Bicycle Friendly Business program.  They will also discuss what we need to do in the future to continue to make Batavia a great and safe place to ride our bicycles.
