The final brush collection has now been completed for both sides of town. Any additional brush that may accumulate from now until the program resumes in May should be stored in the rear yard or side yard, not in the parkway. If you have any questions, please call 630-454-2400.
The curbside leaf collection program has been completed for the season. Residents with additional leaves can use the alternate options below:
1. Advanced Disposal will be picking up yard waste bags containing leaves only WITHOUT refuse/yard waste stickers during the month of December. This will be done on residents’ scheduled collection dates from December 1-31. Loose leaves will not be collected, nor will leaves in plastic bags or cans.
2. Use a mulching lawnmower to mulch leaves back into the lawn. This provides nutrients for the soil.
3. Place leaves in and around plant beds and under trees and shrubs. Again, this provides good nutrients for the soil and plants; it also insulates the plants.
We Need Your Help
Please be a good neighbor and clear leaves away from any storm drains near your property. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Kane County 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan Survey Available
Kane County is updating the 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan and needs your help to identify the top priorities and areas of improvement the plan should address. The plan will become a long-term guide to improve the conditions of roadways, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian travel, economic vitality, and help to prioritize infrastructure funding decisions. The result will lead to a higher quality of life for stakeholders in Kane County.
The County launched an interactive online survey, where participants can easily use their computer, tablet or smart phone to provide their feedback. This interactive survey takes less than 5 minutes and will play a key role in helping us to shape the future of Kane County’s Long Range Transportation Plan.
Share your vision for Kane County! You have through December 5, 2016 to take the survey in English or Spanish.
