Go back in time when summer meant visits to the malt shop and music blared from jukeboxes.

Return to the 1950s with performers Jan and Gino. The popular duo will perform doo-wop and hits of the decade. Registration required. Register online  or call the Reference Desk, (630) 879-1393, ext. 200.

Batavia Farmers Market

The Batavia Downtown Farmer's Market is a social and shopping event every week!

You'll likely meet someone you know when you visit the Farmer's Market. Park at the newly installed lot on N. River Street and enjoy a leisurely stroll up the brick streets where flower vendors and veggie farms and tool-sharpening vendors cater to your household needs. Plus, you can smile at people and be part of a community that loves local food and businesses. Stop for lunch at a restaurant along the way. Enjoy summer in Batavia!

Locally grown summer produce is a snap at Batavia Downtown Farmer's Market 

Residents using Snap Benefits can visit the Downtown Batavia Farmer's Market. Receive double value coupons to purchase fruits and vegetables. Fox River Cleanup

Batavia Fox River Cleanup July 8

Come out and help clean up your river!   Friends of the Fox River (FOFR) is co-sponsoring a clean-up along the Fox River in Batavia with the City of Batavia.  Everyone will meet at the Blackard Skate & Bike Park 411 S. River St. Batavia at 9AM on July 8th. 

FOFR encourages everyone to bring their own garbage bags and gloves (we’ll have extras in case you forget!).  We’ll also provide snacks and water.  Sturdy shoes and sunscreen are recommended.  All participants must sign a waiver and volunteers under 18 will require a parental signature.  For more information, contact Gary Swick, Friends of the Fox River at or visit the Friends of the Fox website ( ).  See you there!

Batavia Residential Brush Collection Schedule for July

The next eastside brush collection will begin on Monday, July 10; westside collection begins the week of Monday, July 17.  Please be sure to have your brush out no later than 7 a.m. on Monday of your scheduled week.  Residents are asked to store their brush outside the parkway until the weekend before the scheduled pickup.  The complete 2017 schedule and information about how to prepare your brush can be found on the Brush Collection information page.  If you have any questions, please call the Street Division at 630-454-2400.

Before you dig anywhere on your property, it is wise to call 811 for a preventative visit.  Please allow a 48-hour notice (two working days), but no more than a 14-calendar day advance notice prior to the start of excavation
