Trimming/Removal of Trees Interfering with Electric Lines

Pruning of trees is probably the most important of all City maintenance practices. Proper and systematic pruning helps prevent unscheduled power interruptions to your home caused by tree limbs. Safety of the public and our personnel are also of the utmost importance to the Batavia Municipal Electric Utility.

Within the next few days, Asplundh Tree Expert Company, a tree trimming company under contract with the Batavia Municipal Electric Utility, will be pruning trees that are under/near electric lines. The trees will be pruned in a manner to preserve their health, appearance, and to prevent damage to the electric lines for several years. The pruning operation will include removal of broken, dead, diseased, and interfering limbs that pose a potential to interfere with the electric lines. If you feel that a tree needs to be removed, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, concerning City electric line tree trimming operations, please call (630)-454-2350.
