We will wrap up anything the students didn't get to the day before. All ages are encourage to attend. We will have some tools on site, but please feel free to bring garden gloves, trowels, spades, diggers, watering cans, and shovels to help plant and spruce up the site. Donuts will be provided for those that RSVP and help at the event. Fabyan Woods South Volunteer Restoration Work Day

Will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 9 a.m.-12 noon.  The site is located in Batavia at the corner of Route 25 and Fabyan, just SOUTH of the bridge and along the river trail. The site is called Fabyan Woods South.

WHAT WE DO: The goal of our environmental stewardship workdays is to remove invasive species so that native plants may again flourish below the majestic oaks on this site and open up a breathtaking view of our beautiful Fox River.  Anyone is welcome to join our crew, young or old, and no experience is required. There is something for every ability level from picking up trash, pulling invasive garlic mustard, carrying cut branches, lopping small branches, to cutting down trees. Your time is spent helping to save an endangered ecosystem while learning about nature and engaging with other volunteers.

SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Long pants, closed toed shoes (preferably boots), work gloves, safety glasses, long sleeves, bug spray. We have extra work gloves and safety glasses if you forget yours. We also provide tools, snacks, and water.

The event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather; for the most up to date information and for other pop-up events please join our email list.
