Water Utility Tax
The City of Batavia charges a 4% Water Utility Tax. This tax goes to support general operations of the City. The charges are calculated by adding the base water charge to the use charge and multiplying by 4% (.04).

Water conservation measures are an important first step in protecting our water supply. The City of Batavia has water conservation regulations in order to ensure that there is a continuous adequate water supply for drinking, bathing and fire protection.
