The Batavia Park District hosts several egg-themed events in the days leading up to the Easter holiday. Past events have included an Egg Dash, a Tween Flashlight Egg Hung, a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt, and a traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Batavia MainStreet hosts a Downtown Egg Hop as well.
City-Wide Garage Sale
Hundreds of Batavia households host garage sales on the first Friday and Saturday in May in this fundraiser for the Batavia Fireworks and Sky Concert. Organized by Batavia Fireworks Committee.
Saturday mornings, from the end of May to the end of October, the Farmers Market fills River Street in downtown Batavia with over 50 vendors selling farm produce, as well as other food items and hand-crafted goods. There’s also live music, artisan markets, and a kids tent. Organized by Batavia MainStreet.
River Rhapsody Concert Series
Live music takes the stage at the Peg Bond Center along Batavia’s Riverwalk Wednesday evenings in June-August. Lively, eclectic music acts showcasing a diverse range of songs. Food and wine are available for purchase. Concerts are free. Organized by the Batavia Park District.
Fourth of July Fireworks and Sky Concert
This firework show and the accompanying concert is held each year on the Fourth of July at Engstrom Family Park in Batavia. The event includes food vendors and music by the Batavia Community Band. The fireworks show is organized by volunteers and funded through donations and fundraisers throughout the year, including the City-wide Garage Sale in May.
Windmill City FestivalThis city-wide, multi-day celebration is “Big on Family Fun and Traditions.” Featuring live music, a pet competition, food, carnival rides and family activities, Windmill City Festival typically takes place the second weekend in July. Most of the action takes place at the Peg Bond Center and the Batavia Riverwalk downtown. Organized by the Batavia Park District.
Downtown Batavia Block Party & Taste of Batavia
