NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons concerned that on the 19th day of April, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., the Plan Commission of the City of Batavia will meet and a Public Hearing will be held pursuant to Chapters Chapter 5.7 and 5.8 of the Batavia Zoning Code (City Code Title 10) to consider amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and Official Zoning Map.
The Properties that are subject of this hearing are located at 834 Main Street ( PIN 12-21-427-017), 216, 221, 224, 229 Whipple Avenue (PINs 12-21-147-002, 12-21-426-014, 12-21-427-003, 12-21-426-015) . The applicant is the City of Batavia, 100 N Island Ave, Batavia IL 60510.
The City proposes to reclassify 834 Main Street, 221, 224 and 229 Whipple Street from R0, Single Family Residence District to R1-M, Single Family Residential Medium Density District.
The city proposes to amend the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map designation for 216 Whipple Avenue from Residential > 2-3.5 Dwelling Units per Acre to Neighborhood Commercial/ Mixed Use. It also proposes reclassifying this property on the Zoning Map from R0, Single Family Residence District to NC Neighborhood Commercial District.
